Comillas and Santillana del Mar are two locations that include everything, from beautiful beaches and buildings designed by Gaudí to a medieval city that has remained untouched for centuries.
COMILLAS

Comillas is a small township and municipality in the northern reaches of Spain, in the autonomous community of Cantabria. Starting from the second half of the 19th century, the Spanish royal family began spending their summers in Comillas, as did a large part of the Spanish nobility. The city was also the capital of Spain for one day.
Universidad Pontificia
The University was built in 1890 at the behest of Pope Leo XIII. Initially, the university only trained priests. Later, it expanded and opened to the public while maintaining its religious character, with all faculties focusing on theological and religious studies.
Palacio de Sobrellano
The building is a great example of Neo-Gothic style with a large garden surrounding it. The interior of the palace is decorated with artworks created by Gaudí and other great Spanish artists. Nowadays, it is a museum containing the original furniture and artworks that belonged to the well-known López y López family.
El Capricho
El Capricho was built in 1885 and took three years to complete. It is one of the few Gaudí artworks that are not located in Catalonia. The mansion was commissioned for Máximo Díaz, a wealthy businessman related to the Güell family. Gaudí's influence can be seen throughout the entire building. The building's history over the centuries is as fascinating as its design: originally serving as a summer residence, then transformed into a restaurant, and finally converted into a museum.
